Costumes - Family Provided Item Listing

The Music Man Costumes:  PLEASE PROVIDE!!

Below is a list of what needs to be provided by you for your actor(s). Many actors are listed for more than one character.

PLEASE NOTE:  Shoes should be soft soled so that the kids don’t ‘clomp’ around on stage.

Please drop your items off in the white COSTUME BASKET at the school office in a bag with your child’s name no later than Friday, April 6th.  The sooner the better would be welcomed!!  We greatly appreciate your help.  The kids are going to look great!!

Please label each clothing item with your child’s name (preferably with masking tape and marker).  Don’t forget to label each individual sock and shoe!!

If you have any questions please contact Holly Riegel (holly.riegel@gmail.com) or Beth Frasca (bafrasca@sbcglobal.net).

PS – We are looking for jean overalls (1) and Suit Jackets for boys (variety of sizes) for many parts in this show.  Does anyone have one that we can use?

Callback Information

Call-backs are from 3-5pm Sunday, February 4th in the School Library.

Audition Sides (excerpts from the musical script to be used in callbacks).  There is a document for the speaking parts, and separate documents for the song segments we'll be having auditioners sing.

Callback Audition Sides & Song Segments

What are callbacks?

Callbacks are essentially a 2nd audition.  If the directors decide they would like to hear you sing a particular part, read some lines or see how you interact with other actors in a scene, you may get a callback.  Not receiving a callback just means the directors already know how they will cast you.  Receiving a callback does not guarantee that you will be cast in a particular role.

Frequently Asked Questions

When are rehearsals?
Rehearsals will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm starting the week of February 6th.  A complete rehearsal schedule will be available shortly after auditions.  Rehearsals for the first few weeks will be available at auditions.

When will the younger kids rehearse?
K-4 will not be required every rehearsal. They will be dismissed at 7:30 on the nights they rehearse (until Tech and Performance Weeks).

Will the show be double-cast?
K-4 will be double-cast (two performances of the four). The named roles may not be double-cast, depending on how many students audition.

What if I’m playing Sports/other extracurriculars?
Conflicts with sports and other extracurricular activities should be reviewed before auditions and prior to accepting a role. Generally, lead roles will not be compatible with starting athletes. However, some accommodations will be made to include as many students in the musical as want to participate.
